Counseling Services CEO

Dr. Sandy Murphy - Counseling Services

I am a survivor of family violence and incest. This year we will host our prevention outreach campaign on the same day I was almost killed, September 6, 1974. Since family violence back then was so taboo my only hope was turning my porch light on to signal the neighbors to call the police when I was being abused. Remembering that light of hope, this year's campaign theme message is entitled, I'm Keeping My Light On. The outreach is scheduled TBD.

There will be a FREE therapeutic community awareness training to focus on prevention about the increasing statistics of silent violence, teens/dating violence, family generational/spiritual incest, along with intervention strategies for issues such as depression, suicidal thoughts, demonic oppression/possession, and mental illness problems that are overtaking men, women, teens, and even clergy today from all ages, races, and religions.
