What is LLU Association for Specialty CEC Provider & Program Standards Accreditation Credentialing?
LLU is a Community Education Association that provides education and accreditation opportunities exclusively for Educational Social Services Programs or Organizations. The Social Service program must be a 501c3 non-profit tax-exempt churches/ministry, grassroots organization, and/or specialty care healthcare service providers. Our education options range from beginner to advanced topics including community association operations, how to lead and manage people with excellence, and best practices to avoid costly mistakes. Some of our education programs lead to professional accreditation designations.
Community Education Credits is structured educational and training experiences for leadership or professional development best practices in which participants are assumed to have previously attained a basic level of education, training, and/or practical experience. The Association for Community Education & Training Credits is a credentialing organization whereas the Criterion Accountability Review Board oversees the certification of education credits offered by approved Certified Authorized Providers who are responsible for the design and/or delivery of an educational course or program. The terms, course, program, and activity are used interchangeably when referring to Community Education Credits.
It is the formal evaluation of an organization or program against best practice standards. It is both a status and a process.
As a Status:
It signifies that an organization or program meets standards of quality set forth by the accrediting body.
As a Process:
This involves an in-depth self-review of an organization or program against currently accepted best practice standards, an onsite visit by an evaluation team comprised of experts, and a subsequent review and decision by the accrediting body.
Since Instructors will offer individualized "specialty education", and to successfully meet the Accreditation Criteria, LLU will encourage applicants to consider contracting with a LLU Pre-Credentialing Coach to assist with the application process. However, LLU does not endorse, recommend, or provide names of consultants that may be best qualified to assist applicants through the Accreditation process.
There are currently four types of Credentialing opportunities. The Credentialing types and Fees will be covered during the Pre-Credentialing Orientation.
LLU works with a variety of organizations to develop educational programs and trainings that will meet the accreditation criterion standards and public workforce needs. We have over 35 years of experience developing diverse educational curriculum, online courses, webinars, in-person classes, and combinations of all of the above.
LLU in accordance with the U.S. Department of Education task force defines the CEU standard of measurement as: 1 CEU = 10 contact hours of educational participation; offered by an experienced and program credentialed instructor. CEUs are converted into other measurements, such as Professional Development Hours or Continuing Education Credits, depending on the accredited organization and/or credits criterion board.
